WHEN IN ROME!

When you take the crowds, lack of personal hygiene, and extensive heat out, Rome was awesome. I didn't get the blown away feeling I thought I would from being there. Almost everything was under restoration, meaning they had huge scaffolding blocking the actual structure and sometimes large tarps covering the whole thing.
We started off with the Vatican and St. Peter's Cathedral.
I really like this evil babies

I LOVE THESE GUYS. I tried so hard to get them to smile or just move. And then some Asian tourist jumps the 4 foot security fence to get a photo in the fountain. And these guys who look like clowns to anyone else jump into action and go right for her to remove her from the fountain.

Me and  Danielle screwing around with our tourist headsets and fit-bits.

The next day we had a private tour of the Colosseum.

My favorite spot we visited was the only place not under restoration: The forum!

Our night time jump shot at the Colosseum at night. Huge fail!

Turin at Night!

Due to the location of our hotel, the only restaurant around was a small Irish Pub, which I was thrilled about, but after having a bad experience with the "fake" irish pubs in Italy, my roommates weren't to thrilled. Turns out they were right, the food was mediocre, but they alcohol selection was amazing. Which we happened to find out later on in the night, that they were known for their mixed drinks. As soon as I saw that they had Guiness on tap I had to get me some, not nearly as good or enjoyable as the pint at the gravity bar in Dublin but it sufficed, especially when I added black current to it. (Thanks for the tip mom).

To save money we pre-funked in the hotel with cheap drinks, which was actually quite enjoyable. Especially drinking out of the glass coffee cups.

Then we headed out to the pub, which even though it was 11:30, we were the only ones there on a friday night.

Overall very enjoyable night!
