Luck of the Irish!

Today, has got to be my favorite day so far. We started off with a tour of Florence's oldest prison, which was almost cooler than Dublin's Prison.

Then took an neighborhood tour with local Italians to find out the best markets, restaurants, bars, etc. One that caught my eye, was the Lions Fountain: Irish Pub and Eatery. So naturally we stopped for late lunch/early dinner. Coincidently I had my Guinness shirt on I bought in Dublin. I was the last one to walk in and as soon as I did, the old gentleman behind the bar raises his glass to me and says "Slainte" (Irish Cheers, Pronounced "Slawn-Cha"). Luckily, I was prepared (Thank you to George Burt for that lesson) and responded with a smile, nod and a "Salinte" back. I think that blew his mind, because he came from behind the bar and had the waitress bring me a pint of Guinness. I didn't want to burst his bubble and tell him I am not a fan of Guinness, especially because I was wearing a Guinness shirt. After 3 hours of drinks, traditional fish and chips, and him and his wife fawning over my red hair and cheeks. I was invited back tonight with the lure of free drinks and irish Karaoke. (Not sure how good that is gonna turn out).
